Gambling is a form of entertainment, not a source of income. Over the long run the house always has the edge; that is why the money you set aside for play should be money you can afford to lose. This page explains the tools the site gives you to keep play under control and the signs that show you are starting to struggle.

The 18 age limit

To open an account at Lüks Casino and to play you must be 18 years old. An account opened by hiding one's age is closed, its bets are voided and no winnings are paid; the money deposited is returned to the account holder. We may ask for a document to verify age.

Tools for keeping control

All of the tools below are switched on through support and cannot be loosened before their term expires. Tightening a tool takes effect at once, loosening it only after the waiting period is over; this stops you from lifting the protection on a momentary decision.

Tool What it does Term
Deposit limit Caps the amount you can deposit in a given period Daily, weekly or monthly
Loss limit Caps the net amount you can lose in a period Daily, weekly or monthly
Stake limit Caps the amount that can be staked on one bet or one round Until you lift it
Session time Closes the session when the set time runs out For each session
Short break Closes the account to play for a while, the account is not deleted From 24 hours to 30 days
Self exclusion Closes login completely and stops bonus notifications From 6 months up to indefinite

Warning signs

If several of the sentences below sound familiar, it is time to stop playing and take stock.

  • You deposit more than you planned in order to win back what you lost.
  • You play with money set aside for rent, bills or debt payments.
  • You hide from those close to you how much you play.
  • You feel restless when you are not playing and think about the game constantly.
  • You give play the time meant for sleep, work or family.
  • You borrow money or sell belongings in order to play.

Protection of minors

Keeping children away from your account is your responsibility. Do not leave the session open on a shared computer, do not save the password in the browser and do not keep your payment instrument within reach. Parental control software at home is the most practical way to block gambling sites at device level.

How to ask for help

If you think you have lost control, switch on a tool first: a short break or self exclusion works fastest. Sending your request through the support channel is enough, you do not have to explain your reasons. Then contact the addiction helpline in your country; there are organisations that give free and confidential support.

If you are worried about someone close to you, you cannot close that person's account yourself; you can, however, report the situation to the support team and encourage the person to request self exclusion. Limits and exclusion records are kept under the Privacy Policy. The general rules on closing an account are on the Terms and Conditions page.
